One of the great people I've gotten to know thanks to the Comic Geek Speak forum is Bob Bretall. He goes by "JLAFan" on the forum and as one might guess, he is a big fan of the Justice League of America. His comic book room is amazing.
Below is a virtual tour of of Bob Bretall's comic book room as described by Bob himself.
I have a variety of stuff on the walls. I have some stuff professionally framed/matted (but that can get pricey) and some stuff just in frames from the local store. I do have quite a few types of frames to keep comics in, several of which they don't seem to make any more.
Some Comic book plates and some swords (Kull's sword, Bowen's sword, Excalibur, Prince Valiant's Singing Sword):
Some more plates, US Postage Stamps, Lithographs, action figures & busts:
This one is mostly original art. At the top are a couple of Golden Age Green Lantern sketches and a clock with the Lantern, all done by Marty Nodell, as well as an original GA Flash sketch by Harry Lampert, original Flash artist. In the middle, you can see a long version of the JLA. I had this created as convention sketchs by Ron Randall, at the San Diego con each year from 1993 through 2000, when he took all the elements and tied them together by weaving Elongated Man across all the individual sketches. All the color on this was done by Steve Mattson. Finally, on the bottom is a Zatanna sketch by Miguel Jorge from the CGS forum, more of his art can be seen at his site migueljorge.wordpress.com and a great 2-page Justice League Europe spread by Ron Randall from JLE #37.
Here are some comics (again in comic shell frames that I don't think they make anymore) currently showing my holiday selection of books (this is a rotating comics display) and a sketch of the JLA by Dave Wachter (CitizenDave on the CGS forum):
Another Litho, this one with Alex Ross painting over John Romita Sr pencils, signed by both artists:
Here is some more original art, along with the comics that these are the original art to. Frames I'm using are from: www.comicbookframes.com. Of course, the comics are Batman #284, Brave & Bold #126, and Detective #448, all by one of the greatest Batman artists of all time (in my opinion), Mr. Jim Aparo.
This shot is a smorgasbord of stuff. 2 Large canvas prints of classic comics covers (from the fine folks at ), a variety of autographed lithographs, an animation cell from the Justice League cartoon proposal (note that Aquaman, sans hook, and Hal Jordan were on the team), a lobby card from Superman II signed by Christopher Reeve, an original pastel drawing of Wolverine by Bruce Timm), then some other statues & comics & stuff:
Another signed Litho, and a cool Marvel print by Alex Ross:
There you go, a little bit of everything.....
