And before he knew it, Brian had found an audience of people with similar experiences, who told more people about his online comics. In 2005, Mom’s Cancer won the first-ever Eisner Award for Best Digital Comic. The story was recently published in graphic novel form by Abrams Image. Brian talks about his work and what’s next for this “accidental” graphic novelist.
