Here is a list of the various people that have appeared on the Comic Book Page podcast.
Bob Bretall
I first met Bob face to face at the Comic-Con International: San Diego in 2006. But having had numerous great discussions with him both on the Comic Geek Speak forums and over Skype, I already knew what a great guy he was.
Bob and I host a monthly teleconference over Skype discussing what is in the latest Previews. We usually do this the second Saturday after Previews is released. It is an open invitation discussion and if you want to join in, just and I'll let you know when the next one will be and how to join in.
Bob is a long time comic book reader and has an amazing comic book collection. Just take a look at his amazing comic book themed room and you'll get an idea of just how much of a comic book fan Bob is.
Not many people read as much or more than I do and Bob is one of them. I always enjoy discussing comics with him. So, when I decided to do an episode going over the comic book sales for 2006, he was one of the people that first came to mine.
Chris Marshall
Chris Marshall is the host of the outstanding Collected Comics Library podcast. I've been having monthly discussions with him about the sales of the trades and hardbacks as part of his Trade Secrets episodes. His knowledge of the trade and hardback sector of the comic book industry is impressive. If you read trades and hardbacks and aren't listening to his podcast, you should be. When it came time to do a review of the trade sales for the year, he was clearly to guy to talk with.
David D.
Not only does he moderate the Comic Geek Speak forums but he has become the go to guy for all things 52 over there. He has been a guest on some of the Comic Geek Speak episodes focusing on 52 and Civil War. David is not only a very observant reader but does a great job articulating what he likes and dislikes about the comics he reads. I always enjoy listening to him on other podcasts and when I decided to do an episode about the Supernova reveal in 52 I knew I had to have him in on the discussion.
Sean Whalen and Jim Segulin
Sean Whelan and Jim Segulin host the amazing Raging Bullets podcast. They do in-depth spoiler-ific reviews of DC comics. They go into the details of the stories and talk about what they thought at length. These guys can and have talked for hours on things like Crisis on Infinite Earths and Watchmen but also cover current comics too. And while they frequently have marathon length episodes, they never waste any of the time. All of it is quality reviews and just plain fun to listen to. If you like DC comics and have tons of time to kill, you really ought to listen to Raging Bullets.
