I like that John, Bob and Chris couple the raw data with some opinion. Otherwise it would be much more dull to listen to. The key is to not mix up opinions with facts. The comics industry definitely feels like it's in trouble, and the podcast is a good wake up call. I hope people are paying attention!

This ones easy. Micronauts, by a long shot. I'd love to have an over-sized, recolored hardcover of the original Michael Golden art. Runners up are New Teen Titans. Yay for the Omnibus coming out soon, but the issues in the 20-40 range are, for me, the high water mark, and as far as I know they haven...

I think it's an incredible opportunity for Johns to unify and focus the DCU, not just in comics, but in other media. The only thing I can think to compare it to is Stan Lee's role at Marvel in the late 60s and early 70s. Realistically, Johns will probably not have as much time available to write com...

I listen to Comic Book Page Podcast when I'm running or at the gym, and 11 o Clock at night when I'm getting ready for bed (around 11PM). Somehow it soothes me and helps me get sleepy. ;)

Neat.

Mera has been one of my favorite characters in BN. Granted, I only remember her from Aquaman comics in the 70s and early 80s, but the choice to make her the avatar of rage hasn't bothered me at all.

Marvel Shipping Accident

Okay, I've read this several times, but still can't make much sense of it:

What were the details of the accident? Looks like some copies of Iron Man 23 and Siege 2 will ship, but not all of them. Crazy.

I'll echo Jonah in saying the ascension of Mark Millar, and the advent of "widescreen" comics was a major event of the decade, especially the first half. For me, Millar's politically tinged, blockbuster style really defined Marvel as much as, if not more than Bendis. Especially when it cam...

I'd also have a strong grass roots marketing campaign for titles like Jonah Hex, Warlord and other "fringe book" in the DC lineup. Those are titles that if promoted on forums and podcasts could be much better. Yeah, I can't believe we have Mike Grell again writing and drawing -- it's like...

Hey guys, just sent you a paypal donation. It's the least I could do considering how many hours of entertainment you've provided. I've also made a resolution to submit more clips this year for the previews show. I submitted to your very first previews episode, but since then I've been absent. :/ Thi...

I just listened to the year end show. Great episode! I think for next year, it would be good to clarify what qualifies as Indie. I filed Vertigo under Indie because that's how you guys categorize it on Weekly Spotlight. Just trying to follow the format. :) I guess I'm in the minority in that I wasn'...

I don't like singling out individual creators. So instead I'll mention some comics: New Mutants #5 was the single worst comic I bought this year. I love the New Mutants, and for the most part have enjoyed Zeb Welles' relaunch, but the art in this issue was so atrocious, I couldn't make it to the end...

Tim Gunn & Models Inc.

Regarding the review on Weekly Spotlight... FYI Tim Gunn did mention the book during his appearance on the Daily Show. I don't think it will be mentioned on Project Runway because this season was shot a year ago. I didn't order this book, but my wife, who doesnt read comics, expressed an interest af...

A nice piece to be sure. However, it just makes me wish we could get higher quality Cerebus reprints, perhaps with some new color art.
