Yeah, except for the eye patch. We last saw Madame Masque in the first arc of the latest Invincible Iron Man, where she was possessed by some demon. Doctor Strange is taking care of her now.

Yes, Madame Masque is Whitney Frost.

This Cassandra Gillepsie might be a new character. Based on the framing sequence, I thought Iron Man was fighting Madame Masque. And, as a result, I figured the flashback sequence must be connected to the present day action and therefore figured that Cassandra Gillepsie was this Madame Masque. So, I might have been completely wrong as to what was going. If that is the case, I reserve the right to drop my grade (perhaps substantially) for the issue due to it being confusing.

Hyperion's writer, Chuck Wendig, has written the novel Star Wars: Aftermath. He is the upcoming writer of Marvel Comic's adaptation of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He also co-writes Shield for Archie's Dark Circle Line (whenever that title ships). Also, I believe the Wonder Woman/Lois Lane interview issue John mention did not occur during Greg Rucka's run. I believe John was referring to Wonder Woman 170, that was during the Phil Jimenez era. **I am excited that Phil will be writing and co-drawing the Superwoman title for DC Rebirth. Not to take any away from Greg Rucka's run which was fabulous!

You are correct about the Wonder Woman issue I was referring to. I did enjoy Greg Rucka's run on Wonder Woman as well as Phil Jimenez' run and clearly confused the two runs.

I haven't read Chuck Wendig's Star Wars novel but I haven't been reading many novels over the past few years. I have read Archie's Shield title the time or two is has shipped. The series has been plagued with delays since it was first solicited. Shield #4 has been solicited four times. I don't know why the series is have such troubles. I find it annoying.

John, are you going to review Black Panther #1 by Coates and Stelfreeze? I haven't read it, but it seems good. I also like Stelfreeze's art.

Also, about DC Rebirth, do you think Legion of Super Heroes will come soon? If so, would you like Hickman to write it? I'm not sure where he will fit into DC's plans.

Yes, we will be reviewing Black Panther #1.

FYI, we typically use the expected shipping list to do our initial pick of what we will review in two weeks. So, last night when Drew and I recorded Weekly Comics Spotlight #451, we picked the items for Weekly Comics Spotlight #453 and confirmed the items for Weekly Comics Spotlight #452.

If you all have suggestions on which comics we should discuss, let us know and we'll consider them.

As for a Legion of Super-Heroes title, I'd be interested in that if they can find a good creative team with a good take on the concept.

I have only read one issue in the new arc, but I don't think that you have covered Gerry Conway's run on Carnage?
