Amazon taking over digital comics

Post by fudd71 »

CNBC story

Interesting, I'm not sure what it will mean in the long run, but I'm sure it will have a profound impact on digital comics.

My gut feeling is for the existing Comixology customer not much will change. But perhaps Amazon will make it worthwhile for dark horse to finally come over to Comixology.

Happy to see this. The Amazon Kindle Reader when used for Comics is a distant third in usability. However, Amazon continually offers some of the best deals in digital content. Hopefully amazon will fold some of the Comixology features into the Kindle experience.

I'm thinking win win.

Certainly it is big news. It will be a while before anyone really knows what impact it will have. Drew and I recorded the Weekly Comics Spotlight this evening and talked about it some on the episode which will go up Monday morning.
