Dear Gabe,

Thank you for posting the DC solicits.

I hope you are going to send in some clips for this episode.

Aloha!

I will try. The DC Rebirth solicits are calling to me. But I'm very busy studying for my insurance license and that has taken me away from pretty much everything.

Just received my previews and no rebirth solicits from DC just a listing (as John predicted)

I hope this "strategy" doesn't back fire on them

I only get my comics from DCBS once a month. For customers like myself who use Previews (and the podcast) to order, it means the DC section might as well not exist this month.
For retailers, I wonder if they will get an extra two weeks to order? Will the cutoff be extended?
In the best scenario, everyone has less time to look at their offerings for the month.

Email from DCBS this afternoon:

Hello,

You'll notice that your copy of Previews this month does not include any of DC's book solicitations for the month of April. DC decided to hold their solicitations from Previews because they wanted to make their Rebirth announcements at WonderCon last weekend without spoilers getting leaked. They will be releasing a separate catalog with all of their April solicitations the week of 4/13/16. All of our customers who ordered Previews will receive a free copy of this catalog in their next regularly scheduled shipment after it releases.

We don't want any of our customers to have to wait until the end of the month to see DC's April catalog, so we will make the catalog available digitally on our website when the April solicitations go live. You will find a link to that digital version under our slideshow banner on the main page of our website once April's pre-orders go up.

Thank you,
DCBS Customer Service

I was able to get a copy of that file right before Drew and I recorded Weekly Comics Spotlight #450 which goes up on Monday. After the reviews, we stepped through the listings and gave our thoughts on many of the items. I figured since it wasn't going to be in Previews and therefore those items might not get covered in the Previews Spotlight, it made since to go over them.

After going through that file, I'm more interested in some items and less in a few than I was before seeing the covers, solicitations and creative teams.

For DC items, go with p082-D035-Superman1 with the 82 being the page in Previews that the DC Previews starts at and the 35 being the page for the item in the DC Previews. Essentially, for this month we'll be treating the DC Previews like we've been treating the Marvel Previews.
