Previews Spotlight #027 (Jan->Mar): Fri Jan 15th: 5pm pac

Post by BobBretall »

The new Previews will hit the stands a week later than usual in January (on Wed Jan 6th) instead of the last Wed of December dure to the holidays.

DCBS customers with monthly shipping, Do Not Fear. The month end shipment will go out on the 6th so you'll get your Previews!

We'll do the Previews call on Friday 15th at 5pm Pacific / 6pm Mountain / 7pm Central / 8pm Eastern.

As always, get on Skype around the start time (or join any time after, the call can run 4 hours of rousing comics chat) and look for thejohnmayo message him to get joined into the call.

Submissions for the Previews Spotlight #027 show should be in by the end of Friday January 15th

Of course you can start sending in submissions as soon as you have them done. Sending them in early is appreciated as it give us more time to organized the clips and plan out the episode.

Remember: We encourage anyone to send in a short audio clip where they can talk about any book that's coming out in the upcoming Previews that they are really excited about. The email address to send the clips to is TheGuys@ComicBookPage.com. (Some people were only send them to either just John or just Bob and we both need to get them to prepare to recording the episode. By using TheGuys email address, the email goes to both Bob and John.)

PLEASE: Each featured item should be in a separate audio file.

We would also appreciate it if you put the page number followed by the full name of the item in the filename. If you don't know the page number, that is fine. Just leave it off. But having the full name of the item the clip is for makes it much easier for us to organize the files and prepare for recording the episode.
Tips on how to record a clip can be found here.

Hey guys, just sent you a paypal donation. It's the least I could do considering how many hours of entertainment you've provided.

I've also made a resolution to submit more clips this year for the previews show. I submitted to your very first previews episode, but since then I've been absent. :/

This month I'm going to do
Fantastic Four 577
Terry Moore's Echo 20
and
American Vampire 1

Thanks, Adam! Some good choices too. Looking forward to hear what you have to say on American Vampire.

Ok this is what I'm looking at doing this month:

Nemesis (Marvel)
Androids Dream of Electric Sleep TPB
Legendary Tailspinners
The Complete Alice in Wonderland
The Dark
Fevre Dream

I was also looking at Green Hornet but I think 2 things from Dynamite is enough from me!

I've done DADOES : Dust to Dust already. But if you want to do it the guys can leave mine off

I was stupid enough to not read the solicit when I was going through previews and I thought it was a trade

No, please take it. I just wanted to make sure it didn't get lost as Boom! is also soliciting a Trade for the current Prose to pictures version they are doing. Besides, the quality of my audio recordings ... sucks.

Would rather here your pitch than mine.

regards,

RJD

I couldn't find the trade when I went to record... it has to be there somewhere then and I missed it.
