Great to hear Bob. I haven't gotten to those issues yet, I'm still working on last weeks new releases, but I hope to shortly. I've actually been looking forward to them.

Batman: Knight of Vengeance - I really liked the crusty Thomas Wayne Batman, and the Risso art was fabulous.
Secret Seven - I could not get into this one at all. Seems like a series that would go over well with people who liked Milligan's Shade title from Vertigo (which I did not). Just a personal preference on this one, I can easily see other people loving this one best of all.
I liked Flashpoint #2 better than #1, but I'd really like to see Barry start doing something hero-ish. This is not really coming off as a "Flash centered" event so far (except in that we assume it's Zoom who kicked it off).

I read Flashpoint #1 and 2, and I"m pretty new to the DU universe. So this 'anit-Flash" they're talking about, I assume he's appeared in the past more than a few times? It seems like a villain that can change time would be hard to beat unless you kill him because couldn't he just keep trying until it works?
Of course then we get into the ole 'could you kill your father' time travel argument I guess.

I think this is the 1st time Prof. Zoom (aka the Reverse Flash) has exhibited powers on this level (e.g. fundamentally changing the timeline), though he's been messing with Flash since 1963.abysslord wrote:I read Flashpoint #1 and 2, and I"m pretty new to the DU universe. Ok, so maybe I need to read more about Flash too. I'm going to pick up a lot of classic DC characters with the relaunch and it looks like it still may be important, or at least helpful/interesting, to know about their past to some extent. As of now, I only know Flash from a few episodes of the TV show way back when. Same thing with Wonder Woman and Aquaman [the cartoon Super Friends or whatever it was].BobBretall wrote:I think this is the 1st time Prof. Zoom (aka the Reverse Flash) has exhibited powers on this level (e.g. fundamentally changing the timeline), though he's been messing with Flash since 1963.abysslord wrote:I read Flashpoint #1 and 2, and I"m pretty new to the DU universe. I believe the change of Reverse Flash's power to tap into the time stream was just reveled during Flash 10-12 of the current/previous series.abysslord wrote:Ok, so maybe I need to read more about Flash too.
