Somewhat disappointing after all these years, as it turns out......Trev wrote: What or who is Geeko?
A giant furry 4 armed monster/alien (with a glass helmet) that chases Archie & Reggie down a mountain only to terrorize the gang with cries of "Geeko", which they figure out means food, as they feed it all the metal in their cabin until they outsmart it in a moderately clever way and get it to fly off in a spaceship.
When Mr. Lodge returns, he doesn't believe their story and figures they were all smoking some of Jughead's weed that's always making him so hungry.
I was hoping for some kind of mystery story a bit more grounded in "Archie reality".

I will admit tossing in weird space aliens was a sign of the times.MobileHome wrote:The story is immaterial. It's an Archie book, representative of the times. A fine addition to any collection! BTW, were teenagers really wearing crowns back then (ala Jughead)??
It's just that the story was so much lamer than the various ones I had cooked up in my head to match the cover.....
